A lacuna 23 está em: "These facts seemed to me to ______ some light on the origin of species".
No texto original de Darwin, a frase é "seemed to me to throw some light on the origin of species". A expressão throw light on significa "lançar luz sobre", "esclarecer".
- throw forma a expressão throw light on, "esclarecer". Encaixa na estrutura "seemed to throw some light on".
