Vamos identificar a estrutura.
- O verbo é formado por duas partes: o auxiliar to be no presente ("is") + o verbo principal com -ing ("making").
- Essa estrutura, \text{am/is/are} + \text{verbo-ing}, é a do present progressive (ou present continuous).
Conferindo as demais opções: o simple past seria "made"; o futuro exigiria "will make" ou "is going to make"; o simple present seria "makes". Nenhuma dessas formas aparece no trecho.
Alternativa D.
- BO futuro exigiria "will make" ou "is going to make"; "is making" não indica futuro.
- CO simple present seria "makes"; aqui há auxiliar "is" + verbo com -ing.
Assunto: Tempos verbais e verbos modais.
